Traditional Egg Nog - by Tony Wong

A creamy holiday favorite, a delicious egg nog with a hint of Rum. Makes 4 pints.

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 5 ounces condensed milk (sweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 fluid ounce Rum
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (ground)

 

Instructions:

  1. Beat egg yolks in a large bowl until thickened. Slowly stir in both types of milk, sugar, vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they are stiff, then combine with milk mixture. Add in the rum and top with nutmeg.
